Residents have a chance to bond with furry friends (like Marley, who was adopted from the Front St. Shelter) or possibly find some volunteer opportunities June 4 in the Town of Dickinson.

The fifth Annual Broome County Front Street Dog Shelter Open House is being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The shelter is located at 110 Cutler Pond Road, just south of the SUNY Broome Community College campus off Lt. VanWinkle Drive.

People are invited to walk some dogs or just take a tour of the facility.  Of course there are several adoptable dogs waiting for their “forever home.”

Donations are also being accepted and that could include blankets, towels, dog beds, liquid laundry detergent, Dawn dish soap, Petigree dog food, collars, leashes and toys in addition to monetary contributions.
