Broome District Attorney Candidates’ Question Session Rescheduled
The candidates for Broome County District Attorney have a chance to answer questions from the community May 15 after the planned event was unplugged last week due to a power problem on the SUNY Broome Community College campus.
The question and answer session takes place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Titchner Hall room 102.
The candidates will field questions from SUNY Broome Criminal Justice professors and present the answers to the audience.
Attorneys Paul Battisti and Michael Korchak are competing in the Republican primary for district attorney, looking to replace Stephen Cornwell Junior who announced he is not seeking reelection. The primary election is June 25.
Debra Gelson, an attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC in Binghamton, is the Democratic candidate for district attorney.
The general election will be held November 5.
