Broome County Man Charged with Sexual Abuse

A 29-year-old Broome County resident has been accused of repeatedly having forcible sexual contact with a teenage girl.

Authorities say Matthew Hackel was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the incidents allegedly occurred this month.

Hackel was arraigned in Lisle town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
