Police say they've made an arrest in a case in which a .22-caliber rifle was stolen from a Broome County home.

Investigators said 21-year-old Matthew Devaul of the Town of Colesville was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the weapon was taken from the residence of an acquaintance of the suspect on February 4.

Detectives said Devaul was taken into custody on Friday, February 12. He was arraigned in Colesville town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
