The arrests and charges listed below do not reflect all the activities of the Broome County Sheriff's Department for the week. All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Grand Larceny
Cesar Diaz, Jr. from Endicott was charged with two counts of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, three counts of Identity Theft in the 1st Degree, two counts of Identity Theft in the 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, and two counts of Petit Larceny following larceny investigations in the Town of Vestal and the City of Binghamton.
Burglary
Following a burglary investigation in the Town of Union, Matthew Ortloff from Chenango Forks was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Conspiracy in the 4th Degree, possession of Burglar Tools, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree.
Jeremiah Johnson of Endicot was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Conspiracy in the 4th Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Petit Larceny following a burglary investigation in the Town of Union.
Child Endangerment
Following a dispute in the Town of Conklin, Mark Cardew of Conklin was charged with Child Endangerment, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Reckless Endangerment
After a vehicle pursuit in the Town of Dickinson, Raymond Fendick of Johnson City was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree.
Obstruction of Governmental Administration
Samantha Carpenter from Endicott was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct following an investigation into suspicious activity in the Village of Endicott.
