Promoting Prison Contraband

This week's report begins following a contraband investigation at the Broome County Correctional Facility, where Angel Gonzalez from Binghamton was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Criminal Contempt

34-year-old Alexander Fahs of Endicott was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, following an investigation into an order of protection violation in the Town of Union.

Criminal Possession

Rondell  Dowdell from Endicott was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the Village of Johnson City.

28-year-old Gavin Swartz of Binghamton was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Possession of Burglar Tools, following an investigation into suspicious activity in the Town of Union.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's report, Jason Diamond, age 44, from Port Crane, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

Multiple Charges

Nicolas Arias of Binghamton was charged with two counts of Menacing a Police Officer,  Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, following a menacing investigation in the City of Binghamton.

Traffic Violations

Following a traffic stop in the Village of Endicott. Jason Sweeny, age 43, of Friendsville, Pennsylvania, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Previous Conviction Within 10 Years), Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (Previous Conviction), along with multiple traffic violations.

50-year-old George Layton from Binghamton was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs (1st Offense), along with multiple traffic violations, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the City of Binghamton.
