Authorities say 57-year-old Frances Stachura of Conklin Road, Conkin, was arrested after Wednesday's incident.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to 800 Conklin Road to investigate a report that a vehicle had struck a guiderail in the area.

Patrols found Stachura and the vehicle at the scene. Officials say the woman was not hurt in the crash but she "exhibited signs of intoxication."

After sobriety tests, Stachura was taken to the sheriff's department headquarters in the Town of Dickinson. Authorities say she provided a breath sample which indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.14 percent.

Stachura was charged with driving while intoxicated and DWI with a blood alcohol content above 0.08 percent.

After Stachura was processed at the sheriff's department, she was released to a third party. She is to appear in Conklin town court at a future date.
