Broome distributed hundreds of free masks Otsiningo Park and at the medical supply collection site at Macy’s at the Oakdale Mall from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 25 for people who do not have required face coverings to wear in public.

More masks are being distributed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at those same locations.

There is a limit of one mask per person with a total of five per household.  If you already own a mask, please don’t ask for one as the supply is limited.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not recommend a mask for children under the age of two.

Broome will distribute masks starting Monday, April 27 at school food distribution sites.

County Executive Jason Garnar says residents should check their school district web sites for times and locations for the school meals where the free masks will also be  available.

Residents can call 211 for more information about other options if they have difficulty getting out to any of the distribution points.

Tioga County has 13 mask distribution locations at various fire stations and municipal offices.  Times may vary Call Tioga County Office of Emergency Services at (607) 687-2023.
