Bridge Joint Work Slows Traffic on Rt. 201 North in JC

The New York State Department of Transportation warns motorists may encounter alternating lane restrictions on route 201 over the Vestal Parkway and Vestal Avenue through mid-afternoon Friday, June 24.

The Department of Transportation says bridge joint work is being done until 3 p.m. June 24 on the northbound lanes.

Any sort of traffic issue on the 201 bridges always is cause for a big traffic slow down, often spilling down onto the ramps and the parkway.

Drivers should be aware of the construction and plan alternate routes. Riverside Drive is an option for the north side of the river for traffic coming from the east. Main Street through Endicott to Westover would be an alternate for betting on the north side of the river for traffic coming from the west.
