Box Truck Crash on I88 Near Chenango Valley High School Closed Westbound Lanes

Broome County Sheriff's officials are investigating a crash of a box-truck style tractor trailer on Interstate 88 near Chenango Valley High School.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]The truck crashed at the Exit 2 ramp to the westbound interstate at 4:13 a.m. June 24, blocking both lanes.

Traffic was being diverted onto Route 12-A around the area as the Department of Environmental Conservation was being called in to deal with what was being described as a large diesel fuel spill.

The driver was apparently not injured and no other vehicles were involved.
