A Philadelphia-based company is looking for workers in the Southern Tier for the first new manufacturing facility its built in more than two decades.  Crown Cork and Seal, also known as Crown Holdings Incorporated, is actively recruiting workers for the new plant in the Town of Nichols.

The company makes cans, beverage container seals and even bottle corks.

Last January, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the company was planning to invest 132 million dollars and hire more than 160 new workers.

A job fair has been held in Nichols with the hiring expected to be complete by the end of the month.

The plant could be operational in January.
