Devils will be marching through the streets of the nation’s capitol next spring.

The Chenango Forks High School Marching Band has been selected to represent New York State in the May 25th National Memorial Day Parade.

The Blue Devils were nominated by Congressman Anthony Brindisi.

The march on Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th Streets features select marching bands and veteran units from each of the 50 states along with floats and balloons.

Prior to the parade, band members plan to lay a memorial wreath at the New York marker at the World War II Memorial. The gesture is to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of that war.

The band boosters are currently raising money to help pay the travel expenses for the trip.
