Trying to afford some of the basics is becoming a problem for many but there is an organization that can help out. Project Concern is a non-profit clothing bank serving those in need in Broome and surrounding counties.

Project Concern in Chenango Bridge

Project Concern has been helping our area for over 35 years but there are still a lot of people that don't know they exist. They have racks full of season clothing for everyone including athletic, casual, business, and dress wear.

They have clothes for men, women from newborns to adults. They may be a clothing bank but they have so much more. They have household items, furniture, and if you are there on the right day, they could even have medical equipment.

Prices may be rising everywhere else but not at Project Concern. They STILL ONLY CHARGE $2 A BAG, to get what you need. The $2 is to let them keep the lights and heat on.

They not only provide clothes and household items but they also can help with food insecurity. Food is available from CHOW and STFB at Project Concern although the selection and availability will vary depending on the day.

There is NEVER  a charge for food and they are open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from Noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon. So how are they able to help the community at such a low cost or for free?

Volunteers Needed For Project Concern
