Binghamton Woman Charged for Stolen Check

A Binghamton woman is accused of fraudulently cashing a check that had been stolen from a home in the Town of Chenango.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 31-year-old Ashley Lindsley is charged with felony counts of possession of a forged instrument and identity theft and two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.

Lindsley is accused of stealing the check from the home before trying to cash it in the City of Binghamton.

She was released following arraignment to wait for her next dates in courts in the Town of Chenango and City of Binghamton.
