It was a good night for the Binghamton Senators as they defeated the Albany Devils at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena last night 5-2.  Derek Grant notched a pair of goals and Corey Cowick and Matt Puempel each netted one goal and an assist to power the B-Sens to victory.

Andrew Hammond made his fourth consecutive start in goal for Binghamton and stopped 27 of 29 shots. Binghamton won its third straight game.

Keith Kinkade took the loss in goal for the Devils.  Kinkade drops to 16-8-1 while Hammond earned his 12th win of the season.

The B-Sens remain home to host the Rochester Americans tonight in another 7:05 start.  Fan favorite Denis Hamel will be inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame prior to the opening faceoff.  Hamel earned numerous awards while playing six seasons in Binghamton.  He set a record in the 2005 2006 campaign by scoring 56 goals for the B-Sens.  Hamel owns a number of B-Sens club records as well

The Broome Sports Foundation is holding its annual sports memorabilia auction with dozens of items up for bid.  Proceeds from the auction go to benefit the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The items are on display in the Veterans Memorial Arena concourse before and during the game.
