Binghamton Restaurant Week continues through this Thursday with 35 Binghamton restaurants participating.  One of those is Alexander's Cafe, 34 Chenango Street.  Owned by Alexander Nichols they feature a delicious selection of item on their menu.  I visited for lunch and enjoyed it very much.

First of all you can dine in a relaxed atmosphere.  You can take your time and enjoy the food that is prepared fresh right there every day.  Alexander's offers some wonderful options for their Restaurant Week specials.

For the first course I tried their Broccoli Salad.  I love broccoli and their honey dressing made it extra tasty.  Broccoli, carrots, bacon, craisins, sunflower seeds and red onion all are part of the Broccoli Salad.

For my second course I selected The Paulie Special.  This features house-seasoned pork roast with broccoli rabe, sauteed mushrooms, melted provolone cheese finished with homemade roasted garlic aioli on ciabatta.  This is outstanding.  It is large enough to satisfy the heartiest appetite and is a great selection whenever it is on the menu.  I would order this again.

For the third course my choice was their Mini Cheesecake.  What a way to top off your meal.  You can't go wrong with this to finish off a wonderful meal.

By the way did you know that besides Restaurant Week Specials Alexander's Cafe has plenty of other choices  ?  Like milkshakes and smoothies...and yes I had a smoothie....and yes it was great !

A sign of a good restaurant is that you can't wait to go back.  Alexander's Cafe is that good !  Maybe I will see you there ?
