Binghamton Police Investigate Stabbing

Binghamton Police have a suspect in custody but are continuing their investigation into a stabbing January 24.

A man was stabbed in the head and leg at around 2:30 p.m. at Mygatt and Meadow Streets and taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.  His condition is unknown.

23 year old Joseph Steinberg of Binghamton is charged with felony assault.

Police have not released details of the case like possible motive and if the two men knew each other.
