The Binghamton Mets are happy to leave New Britain.  Today, the Rock Cats rolled by Binghamton 6-1.  The win gave the Rock Cats a three-game series sweep over Binghamton.  The Rock Cats' pitching was outstanding throughout the series as the B-Mets left 31 runners stranded over three games.

Alex Panteliodis made his first Double-A start going 3.2 innings and giving up five runs on seven hits as he took the loss.  Pat Dean started and got the win for the Rock Cats.

Binghamton has had recent struggles on the road and has now lost eight straight games away from NYSEG Stadium.  It is the first time the B-Mets have been swept in a three-game series in 2014.  Outfielder Darrell Ceciliani had two singles and a pair of walks for Binghamton.

The B-Mets are not scheduled to play Monday. They travel to Altoona to begin a three-game series against the Curve on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.  Airtime is set for 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
