The Binghamton Mets got clobbered in their regular season finale yesterday in Richmond as the Flying Squirrels rolled to a 12-4 victory.  The Flying Squirrels used a pair of five-run innings to blast open the game.  The loss was the sixth straight for the B-Mets.

Tim Peterson made his Double-A debut but it was one he would like to forget.  He only got one out before getting pulled in favor of Adam Kolarek.  The loss puts Binghamton's final regular season record at 83-59.  It is the second-highest win total in franchise history.

The B-Mets have the day off today as they prepare to host the Portland Sea Dogs in the best-of-five Eastern Division Championship Series.  Games one and two will be played in Binghamton while games three and if needed four and five will be held in Portland.  Game time for both home games is 6:35 PM (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
