A 20-year-old Broome County resident has pleaded guilty to a felony charge for brutally killing a dog, three years after he committed a similar crime.

Kyle Corbin of Binghamton admitted he intentionally killed an adult female pit bull dog on May 4.

Appearing in Broome County Court, Corbin pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals and criminal possession of a weapon.

The weapon count stems from the metal knuckles he possessed when he was found by police.

Corbin was arrested on May 7 by city police. He was indicted by a grand jury three months later.

In a statement released by his office, Broome County district attorney Michael Korchak said Corbin acknowledged he had repeatedly punched, kicked and stomped the dog.

Corbin faces one to three years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 22.

Corbin pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals in April 2017 for stomping to death a chihuahua owned by his aunt. In that case, he killed the dog and tossed the animal into a creek.
