Johnson City Police say a Binghamton man is charged with felony drug possession following an alarming incident at the Wilson Hospital Emergency Room.

Village Police say they were called to the hospital at around 9 p.m. March 21 with a report of a disturbance and word that one of the men involved may have a gun.

Officials say 20 year old Desean October was found, smelling of marijuana but no gun was found.  Police say, in addition to marijuana, they also found heroin and drug paraphernalia on his person after October was arrested.

He’s charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

October was sent to the Broome County Jail.
