A deteriorating pedestrian walkway linking government offices with court operations in downtown Binghamton is being repaired.

Workers are removing deteriorated sections of the bridge over Hawley Street.

The rusted and worn portions of the walkway are being replaced with new material.

The work is being performed by Procon Contracting of Vestal.

There are lane restrictions for traffic on Hawley Street between Collier and Isbell streets while the project is underway.
