After months of snow and record-cold temperatures, Twin Tiers residents are looking forward to the "official" end of winter. Spring will arrive March 20 at 6:45 p.m.

Heavy snow showers and gusty winds caused some travel problems for drivers in the Binghamton area March 19.

Police agencies were kept busy responding to several crashes on highways and secondary streets across the region.

Forecasters say a fast-moving system could bring "a few to several inches" snow accumulation, especially south of the Twin Tiers.
