It’s Finally Here! Binghamton Black Bears Season Begins With Some New Faces
It's almost here and the excitement continues to build for opening night with the Binghamton Black Bears. The inaugural season was a success with the Bears getting within 13 seconds of advancing to the quarterfinals in the Commissioner's Cup playoffs.
On Friday, October 14th, the second season begins at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena when the Elmira Mammoths come to town. Elmira is one of three new teams joining the Federal Prospects Hockey league along with the Mississippi Sea Wolves and the Motor City Rockers.
New Additions to the Binghamton Black Bears
There are other new additions this year including a new Black Bears head coach, Gary Gill, replacing Rod Davison. There is a new broadcaster for the bears as Rob Lippolis has left for a job with the Adirondack Thunder with Brooks Hill joining the team as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations.
The stars of the Black Bears are back along with some new blood that will add to the excitement on and off the ice this season. As you can see below, the team is ready to get going.
