The America East defending champion Binghamton Bearcats defeated the Maine Black Bears 6-3 this afternoon to move on to play Saturday afternoon in the America East Baseball Tournament in Lowell, Massachusetts.  They will play the loser of this evening's Stony Brook versus Hartford game.

Jake Cryts was the starter and winner in today's contest. Scott Heath took the loss for the Black Bears.  The Bearcats banged out 14 hits in today's victory.

Three Bearcats drove in a pair of runs each.  Zack Blanden, Shaun McGraw and Eddie Posavec each knocked in two runs for BU.

The Stony Brook versus Hartford game is scheduled for a 6 PM start.  The Bearcats will look to become the first repeat champion in America East in the past eight years.  The America East Tournament winner gets an automatic bid to the NCAA National Tournament.
