The Binghamton Bearcats got 23 points from freshman Willie Rodriguez but could not overcome a 43-27 deficit at the end of the first half and dropped a 78-63 contest to the Manhattan Jaspers in the Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament in Uncasville, Connecticut last night,  Rodriguez scored 14 of his points in the second half.  BU outscored the Jaspers by a point in the second half but could not get closer than nine points.

Shane Richards led all scorers with 24 points.  He was 8-16 in field goals and hit four three-point shots to pace the Jaspers.They were 7-29 in three-point shooting in the game.  Justin McFadden also hit double figures with 10 points for the Bearcats.

Binghamton meets Navy tomorrow at 5:30 PM also at the Mohegan Sun Arena.  Navy lost to Northeastern 68-44 in last night's late game.  Airtime is 5:15 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
