The Binghamton Mets edged the New Britain Rock Cats July 9 at NYSEG Stadium.  Jared King drove in Gavin Cecchini with a double off the top of the right field wall to break a 1-1 deadlock and give Binghamton a 2-1 victory. That closed out the B-Mets six-game home stand and gave them the series edge two wins to one.

Brock Peterson hit his fifth home run for the other Binghamton run.  Michael Fuller went seven innings to earn his fourth win of the season.  The victory puts Binghamton one game over the .5-00 mark at 43-42.

The B-Mets hit the road as they head to Portland, Maine to begin a four-game series July 10 at 7:00 p.m. (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
