Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Washington Avenue Shooting
An Endicott man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident on Washington Avenue.
Authorities say 31-year-old Dominique Wortham was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in the city of Binghamton.
According to a news release from Endicott police, Wortham has been charged with second-degree attempted murder.
An arrest warrant was issued for Wortham during an investigation into a report that shots were fired around 7:30 a.m. December 14 in front of a vacant building at 140 Washington Avenue.
There had been no immediate reports of injuries immediately after the shooting. But detectives now say someone sustained an apparent gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators say Wortham was arrested by members of the United States Marshals Service fugitive task force based in Broome County.
Wortham was processed at the Endicott police station before being taken to a central arraignment facility at Broome County jail.
