A site that was home to a popular downtown Binghamton bar is about to be converted into a full-service restaurant that will feature live music.

Stone Fox Bar and Pizza is the name of the establishment that's planned for 15 Hawley Street, just west of City Hall.

The business will occupy space that had been used by Zona & Co. Grille and Parlor City Pub.

Developer Yaron Kweller appeared before the Binghamton Planning Commission Wednesday to outline some elements of the project planned by Hawley Street Development Group LLC.

A balcony and and street-level deck are to be constructed to provide outdoor seating.

Kweller said he expected the restaurant to have seating for about 45 people inside and about 20 more outside.

The establishment also will have a couple of garage doors that will be opened when weather conditions are appropriate.

Kweller said the interior will be completely renovated. He said the planned work may take five or six months to complete.
