The arrests keep coming in last weekend’s drug raids that broke up a major heroin trafficking ring in Broome County.

Six people were arrested Sunday by several local law enforcement agencies.  Now, Broome County District Attorney Steven Cornwell’s office reports 45 year old Jamie Allen of Maryland has been arrested for his involvement in the ring allegedly led by 38 year old Devon Johnson.

Allen is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Allen is the 9th arrest in the action.

Prosecutors say four of the arrests were alleged major drug traffickers.

The ring is said to be responsible for moving over $75,000 worth of heroin from New York City into the Southern Tier about every two months.
