Milwaukee Admirals goaltender Troy Grosenick has been named the American Hockey League's IOA/American Specialty Man of the Year.  All 31 AHL teams nominated a player for the award.  Binghamton captain and forward Ben Street represented the Devils.

The award is primarily based on community involvement during the season.  Grosenick led a talented and caring group of players who gave back plenty of time to help with local charities, youth groups and many other projects.

The annual award is given in memory of Yanick Dupre who died from leukemia in 1997 at 24 years of age.  He played four seasons with the Hershey Bears and was named an AHL All-Star in 1995.

Grosenick was active with the Children's Hospital Act Now Anti-Bullying campaign and the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer organization.  He also made numerous appearances at various charity functions around the Milwaukee area.
