As sad as I am to see August go (another month of summer gone), there's a lot to look forward to in September. If you love the sport of football, this is your time for pro, college, and high school action.

The weather will be changing during the month of September, hopefully to temperatures that are just right, and then there's those of you who love the pumpkin-flavored offerings that come alive again. Not me. I'm not a fan of anything pumpkin flavored.

And, one other thing that is a fun thing about September locally, is the annual LUMA Festival in Downtown Binghamton. It's a must-see event that will occur on Friday and Saturday, September 10th and 11th. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. Check out the LUMA Festival web page for complete details of the two-day event and how to obtain your free tickets.

While the buildings in the Downtown Binghamton area lend themselves well to projections of color and light for the LUMA Festival, my co-workers and I were wondering what other buildings in the Southern Tier area might also make great backdrops for a LUMA projection.

While they are not all in one concentrated area, we thought these seven buildings would lend themselves well to a LUMA projection. The more shapes and curves or a building, the better, because it's amazing what the LUMA artists can do to bring a beautiful building alive and make it into so many shapes.

Area Buildings Suited For LUMA Projection
