As an avid lover of the holiday season, I've spent a great deal of time cultivating what I believe to be the most perfect playlist of all time. So feel free to bite my music style and add these songs to your playlist.

"All I Want for Christmas is You" - Mariah Carey

The absolute pinnacle of all Christmas songs. It's the first song you hear when you walk into the grocery store the day after Thanksgiving and for good reason. If your playlist doesn't have Mariah Carey sitting comfortably at number one, your playlist simply needs to be updated as soon as possible.

"Underneath the Tree" - Kelly Clarkson

After getting hyped for Christmas with Mariah Carey, you have to keep the vibes going. This Kelly Clarkson song may not be on your radar for classic Christmas songs but I guarantee it'll keep your energy going after finishing the best song on the playlist. It's a tough act to follow but Kelly Clarkson does the best that anybody could under the circumstances.

"Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" - Brenda Lee

You guessed it, another song perfectly designed to get your Christmas party off to an energetic start. Brenda Lee's entry to the playlist is a little more of a classic though. Some might even call it the perfect song for a Christmas movie's gift giving montage so every time you hear it, you'll expect someone to walk up with a present for you.

"Jingle Bell Rock" - Bobby Helms

Fun fact, for as long as I can remember my family has had a dancing Santa toy that dances to one song and one song only. "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms. I have no idea how it still works after at least 20 years, but it's the first decoration that makes its way out of the basement every year without fail.

"Christmas Without You" - DNCE

Another song that may fly under the radar of most Christmas music enthusiasts, "Christmas Without You" by DNCE is another high energy song that's perfect for your gateway into the more classic Christmas songs on the playlist.

"Run Rudolph Run" - Chuck Berry

If this song doesn't get your partygoers up and dancing you might need to check if they still have a soul. This is by far the fastest-paced song on the entire playlist, which shouldn't be a surprise if you're familiar with the legendary Chuck Berry.

"Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" - Bruce Springsteen

You might notice that this isn't the original version of "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" and that's because the live Bruce Springsteen version of this song is just so much better. And it's the only song that is upbeat enough to follow Chuck Berry and still retain a nice playlist flow.

"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" - Andy Williams

Now that the playlist energy has peaked, it's time to bring it towards a softer landing as your party has gotten into full flow. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" certainly isn't low energy, but it is the first step towards a more relaxed Christmas playlist feel.

"Sleigh Ride" - The Ronettes

Sleigh rides aren't something I'm accustomed to taking since Long Island never really gets enough snow for it to be a possibility, but I'm hoping that Binghamton does get enough snow for me to experience a sleigh ride while listening to this song at least once.

"Wonderful Christmastime" - The Shins

Another song that's just good vibes from start to finish and keeps the energy just high enough to round out an absolute gauntlet of top ten playlist songs.

"Dominic the Donkey" - Lou Monte

Did you think the top ten songs on the playlist were the only ones with good vibes and high energy? If so, you were absolutely wrong because "Dominic the Donkey" is another Christmas classic that you can't help but tap your foot to.

"Last Christmas" - Wham!

It's hard to come up with a band name better than Wham!. The exclamation point really sells you and its well deserved with a classic like "Last Christmas" under their belt.

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - Darlene Love

It's hard to find a better song than this for driving around the neighborhood taking in Christmas displays that make yours feel like garbage.

"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" - Celine Dion

Like the reverse of this playlist, this song starts slow and just keeps building and building until you can really feel the Christmas fill up your soul.

"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" - Perry Como, The Fontane Sisters, Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra

Now it's time to getting into the classics. If you're using this playlist for a party, this is the point where everybody has settled in and the festivities are officially underway.

"Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" - Frank Sinatra, B. Swanson Quartet

Frank Sinatra is always a Christmas classic so if you thought you'd get through all 25 songs on this playlist without running into him at least once, you were sorely mistaken.

"Winter Wonderland" - Bing Crosby

Like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby was an inevitable inclusion on this holiday season playlist. And I'm looking forward to experiencing an actual Winter Wonderland for the holiday season for the first time in a long time.

"White Christmas" - Bing Crosby

Bing Crosby again? Bing Crosby again. And another reminder that I'm excited to finally see snow on the ground in December like in all my favorite Christmas movies.

"Jingle Bells" - Perry Como

Is there any song that perfectly encapsulates the holiday season than "Jingle Bells?" Because if there is, I have yet to find it.

"A Holly Jolly Christmas" - Burl Ives

I could probably write another Christmas songs article that goes on for 10,000 words with just these classics. This one always makes me think of watching Frosty the Snowman.

"Here Comes Santa Claus" - The Puppini Sisters

I just remembered I forgot to update my mailing address on my Christmas list to Santa. Does the North Pole have a customer service number I can call to fix that?

"Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season" - Andy Williams

Is there a more positive holiday vibe than writing an entire song that basically just says happy holidays to everyone who hears it?

"Feliz Navidad" - Jose Feliciano

That's right, English isn't the only language I know how to say "Merry Christmas" in.

"Little Saint Nick" - The Beach Boys

Couldn't help myself from sneaking in at least one more upbeat Christmas song into the playlist at the end.

"Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" - *NSYNC

90's kids rejoice, *NSYNC has officially made an appearance on the official holiday playlist.
