2019 Sunset Runway 5K Date Set

The 2019 Sunset Runway 5K will be held on Thursday, July 18 at the Greater Binghamton Airport.  In a news release from Broome County and the Department of Aviation, County Executive Jason Garnar and officials at the Greater Binghamton Airport announced that the race will begin between 7:30 and 8:00 PM depending on sunset conditions.  Registration will begin in the Hangar II Chamberlin Room at 6 PM that evening.

According to details in the release the race will be an officially timed 5K event which will be USA Track and Field certified.  This is the third annual Sunset Runway 5K held at the Greater Binghamton Airport.

Participants can walk or run the course that is set for an anticipated sunset view.  It will take place on a 5K course that encompasses Runway 16/34 and Runway 10/28.  In addition to the race there will be music, a beer tent and food available.
