18 Years to Life: Man Sentenced in Broome Child Sex Assault Case
A man convicted of having sexual contact with a young girl in Broome County has received a long prison sentence.
Prosecutors say 32-year-old Ryan Gaylord of Richford Tuesday was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison.
A Broome County jury found Gaylord guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child on June 4.
Gaylord was arrested in July of last year by the Broome County Sheriff's Office. He was indicted by a grand jury last November.
Authorities say the crimes happened in Lisle. Gaylord had been accused of engaging in sexual contact with a girl under the age of 13 from January through July of last year.
