For the second time in three months, a person has been wounded in a shooting at a Binghamton residence.

Authorities say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest Thursday night at 14 Doubleday Street. The youth reportedly was on the porch of the two-family house at the time.

Police say several shots were fired around 9 p.m. The shooter was last seen running east on Doubleday Street.

Investigators say the injured boy was listed in stable condition at Wilson Medical Center after undergoing surgery.

Several people were said to have been on the porch at the time of the shooting.

The house where the attack occurred is located directly across the street from the parish offices of St. Paul and St. Mary of the Assumption churches.

A 29-year-old Binghamton man was shot at the Doubleday Street residence on April 22. In that incident, police said Darryl Sutton sustained wounds to the face and jaw.
