Wrong Way I81 Driver Charged With DWI

A Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania woman is charged with drunk driving and felony driving without a license after Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they received several 911 calls about a vehicle going the wrong way on Interstate 81 in the Towns of Dickinson and Kirkwood.

32 year old Jennifer Kemmerer of Little Meadows was stopped as she was driving south in the northbound lane of the interstate at a slow speed, one mile south of exit one, shortly before 4 a-m Saturday.

Officials say Kemmerer’s blood alcohol content measured .18%, more than twice the legal limit.

Kemmerer was also charged with aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher, reckless driving, driving the wrong way on a one way road and illegal u-turn.

She was ordered to appear in Town of Kirkwood Court at a later date.
