New York State Police say a Little Falls woman is now charged with vehicular manslaughter and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in connection with a head-on crash that claimed the life of a Herkimer man in New Berlin in August, 2020.

31-year-old Kerri Bunnelle was found to have a blood alcohol content at close to three times the legal limit (.23%) when her car crossed into oncoming traffic on Route 8 and hit 43-year-old Matthew Fredericks’ vehicle.

The crash happened at around quarter of three in the afternoon of August 4.

Authorities say Bunnelle was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated.

She was arraigned in Town of Norwich Court after responding with her attorney to the State Police offices in Sidney at the end of January and has been ordered to appear in Chenango County Court at a later date.
