Emergency Services officials throughout the region caution residents that there are still many snow-covered roads as crews continue to clear from snowfall courtesy of Winter Storm Marcus.

The National Weather Service recorded 3.1 inches of snow at the office located at the Greater Binghamton Airport but said many of the road problems stemmed from a combination of snow then sleet, rain and freezing rain and some more snow.

There had been a potential of over seven inches of snow but the big variables were the track of the system and how much of the precipitation would fall in the form of rain or sleet.

Motorists are being advised to still be aware of slippery conditions on bridges, ramps, higher elevations, side streets and outlying areas.

Broome County First Responders went out to dozens of crashes in the region.  There were no major injuries reported.

Pedestrians in town are finding the challenge of climbing over large piles of snow to get to the sidewalk.
