The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory with the possibility of three to six inches of snow north of Broome County for early November 2.

Forecasters say the snow for Chenango, Cortland and Tompkins County through late morning could be paired with wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour.   In addition to slippery conditions from a coating of snow, there is a possibility of reduced visibility for motorists with blowing snow.  The heavy to moderate snowfall was forecast for the region through the entire morning commute hours.

For Delaware County in New York and Wayne County in Pennsylvania, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory from 6 a.m.-7p.m. November 2.

Officials say winds could be steady out of the Northwest at 20-30 miles an hour with gusts up to 50 mph.

The Weather Service says that brings the potential of downed tree limbs as well as debris blown across the road.  Residents are advised to secure any loose objects and motorists driving higher-profile vehicles should keep a firm grip on the wheel and slow down.
