A Windsor man is to be sentenced in December after pleading guilty to the theft of more than $3,000 from the Windsor Youth Booster Club between 2014 and 2015.

57 year old Robert Crowley admitted stealing over $3,000 but the New York State Police said he had actually taken over $18,000.

Crowley is working to pay back $10,000 before he is sentenced for grand larceny. He faces up to four years in prison.

Prosecutors say people involved in the youth sports program noticed money missing from the organization’s bank accounts.  Investigators say it’s believed Crowley sometimes took small amounts of cash but a couple hundred dollars on other occasions.

Crowley was contracted with the Town of Windsor to serve as youth director, making $4,500.
