The building on Grange Hall Road actually falls into the Hallstead Fire district.

Soon after firefighters got to the site, the building collapsed.

There was no one in the structure when the fire broke out.  Crews from Great Bend, Hallstead, Windsor, Kirkwood and Five Mile Point were dispatched.

Broome County Emergency Services officials say New York State Electric and Gas personnel were the last to leave the scene at 3:35 a.m.
