Wilson Hospital Patient Accused of Stealing Electronics

A patient at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center is accused of stealing medication and electronics from the hospital.

Johnson City Police say 27 year old Derek Davies of Whitney Point is charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property.

Police say they found over one-thousand dollars worth of stolen medicine, two computer drivers, two i-pads and other electronics in Davies’ hospital room.

Authorities say Davies was still a patient at the hospital and was ordered to appear in Village Court later this month.
