A suspect is in the Broome County jail after witnesses reported a dramatic scene in Endicott recently.

The law enforcement agencies that surrounded a home in Endicott September 21 had been called to an initial report of a man getting into a dispute with three people and displaying a 9mm Ruger handgun on Adams Avenue.

Endicott Police say 22 year old Macoley Saunders, who lists no permanent address, reportedly fled before officers got there and was located at the home on East Main Street.

Law enforcement officers from Endicott and Vestal Police, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police surrounded the house shortly before 4 p.m.

Saunders was taken into custody without incident and the handgun was recovered.

Saunders is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor menacing.

Authorities say the man also had outstanding warrants for criminal obstruction of breathing during a domestic dispute last month in which he allegedly choked a 22 year old woman.  He also had arrest warrants for unlawful imprisonment, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and assault in a September 14th incident in which a 33 year old woman sustained black eyes and bruising to her head before she could get away and Saunders allegedly drove off in her car.

Saunders was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
