VA Set For New Binghamton Clinic

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will build a new facility at 203 Court Street in Binghanmton.  The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017.  The facility will be a Community Based Outpatient Clinic with a lease of 20 years.

The announcement, made by U.S. Representative Richard Hanna,  will provide outpatient access and treatment for Primary Care, Diagnotic Services, Physical Therapy, Cardiology, Gastrointestinal Services, Behavioral Health and Group Therapy.  The new facility will replace the VA's smaller location at 425 Robinson Street.

The first patients should be able to use the new clinic's services within six months of the facility's opening.  A number of buildings at or near the new site will be demolished to make room for what is expected to be a $6 to $10 million facility.
