United Way Day of Caring Preparations Begin

The United Way of Broome County is signing up organizations and volunteers to participate during this year’s Day of Caring on September 11.

Last year, 850 volunteers participated, logging in 3,400 hours that would be worth $89,930 as calculated using the New York State hourly volunteer value as determined by Independent Sector.

The United Way has begun accepting registrations from organizations interested in hosting a volunteer project, including churches, schools, health and human service agencies and attractions in Broome County.
