Investigators say 42-year-old John Frey of Binghamton and 59-year-old Peter Gumaer of Harpursville were arrested Tuesday.

Frey was charged with second-degree assault and Gumaer was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The men were arrested as police continue to investigate the September 24 shooting of Timothy Mancini. The 50-year-old Town of Owego man was shot during an altercation near 112 Carl Street.

Frey was arraigned in Union town court and sent to Broome County Jail on $2,000 bail. Gumaer was released on an appearance ticket for Maine town court.

State police on Monday morning arrested 35-year-old Paul Warner of Endicott for his purported role in the attack on Mancini. Warner was charged with second-degree attempted murder. He was being held in Broome County Jail without bail.

Investigators have not said whether they expect more people will be charged in the shooting incident.
