Two Charged In Downtown Binghamton Robbery
A Binghamton resident was beaten and robbed near the downtown bus station.
Authorities say the 46-year-old man was found lying face down in a parking lot across from the bus station on Chenango Street near Henry Street.
The incident happened shortly before eleven o'clock Sunday night.
The man sustained a head injury. He was reported in stable condition in the Wilson Medical Center intensive care unit.
Police arrested two Binghamton men in connection with the incident. They say 44-year-old Salladin Barton and 22-year-old Jervel Williams have been charged with first-degree robbery.
Witnesses say the man who was robbed was picked up and slammed to the ground. The robbers then went through his pockets and stole some change.
