Troy, Pa. Pedestrian is Hit by a Car and Killed

Pennsylvania State Police say a Bradford County woman who was hit by a car as she attempted to cross Elmira Street in Troy February 12 has died.

60 year old Betty Jackson of Troy was taken to Troy Hospital shortly after 6 p.m. on the 12th and she was pronounced dead at around 2:34 p.m. February 13 as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The 69 year old woman who was driving the car has not been charged.

The driver was not hurt.  Her vehicle sustained some front-end damage but was able to be driven from the scene.
