New York State Police are continuing to investigate a tractor trailer rollover crash on Interstate 81 north September 4 that ended up with the trailer detatching from the cab and plunging into the Tioughnioga River.

The crash just south of exit 11 in Cortlandville at around 7 a.m. closed the northbound lanes of the interstate into the afternoon.  The driver, 31 year old Robinson Jaquez of Lancaster, Pennsylvania was not hurt.

The 2007 Volvo tractor is owned by Transcom Corporation in Pennsylvania.

All morning, motorists reported being at nearly a standstill on the highway as troopers looked to get traffic moved into the right-hand lane to get off I81 at exit 10 and onto Route 11.
